Lyrics finder application for PC

Versefy is a free music software created by indie developer Jakub Stęplowski. This open-source program was made to help users find and display song lyrics that are currently playing on their favorite audio app at any time and without the need for any registration or login.

Versefy essentially works the same way as other lyrics finder tools, such as MiniLyrics and Musixmatch. What sets it apart from others is that it supports a wide variety of music streaming platforms, as well as local music players. This makes it much more versatile for daily use and a number of various needs.

How does Versefy work?

In a nutshell, Versefy is a lyrics generator tool that you can use with a wide variety of media players, from online streaming platforms to local music applications. It’s a standalone program that will run along with your music source and will show you lyrics of what's currently playing. Also, a neat thing about it is that it doesn’t require registration or logging in before you can use it.

Versefy's UI is clean, minimal, and features a dark theme. To start, open your audio player first and play a song. It will then automatically detect the track and offer you its lyrics. It will then automatically detect the currently playing track and offer you lyrics for it. Its biggest strength, however, lies in its support for various music sources, including Spotify, Tidal, VLC, Foobar, and Winamp.  It even features a handy toolbar for quick manual switching to ensure better recognition and lyrics generation.

Lastly, you get another toolbar at the bottom that will help you with things like toggling immersive mode, manage lyrics sources, switch themes, and controls for zooming in or out. Some things to note would be that it does not work with the web version of Spotify and there is no auto-scrolling function in place.

A handy tool for any music lover

All things said, Versefy is quite a useful little tool for finding and displaying lyrics for your favorite tunes. It's fastlightweight, and features a clean and minimalist UI. The fact that it supports all kinds of sources is just icing on top, and will be a feature that music lovers will appreciate. A must-have

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.
